Matchbox Mercedes SL modified

Hello friends,

The time has finally arrived to show you pictures of the modified SL Matchbox series diecast. The car has nice molding, but don't expect much from the interior. It is in stone age when it comes to details there :)
I modified this car because I just "felt" doing it so. New set of rims and some colors... Cannot believe how much effect can a few drops of color do in the right spots. When I look at the photos now, I see another thing to modify; to put a tiny dot of black color in the chrome exhaust pipes :) That's it. Take a look at the photos: Blue one is the modified one, silver SL is stock for comparison :)

So, do you like it? Btw. I bought two orange Mercedes CLS's... now it's just a matter of time before new Matchbox projects start rolling of the "modifying line" hehe :)

See you guys around.

Matchbox Mercedes CLS, custom projects

Hello fellow collectors,

They are here. I promised you pictures of modified CLS from Matchbox series and here they are. Hope you like the modding done to this cars. I repainted the interior, painted the little wood trim inside it and changed all the rims :) This was done in 2004/05...

I'm 99 percent sure I got every possible color version of Mercedes CLS from Matchbox to this date. Maybe it is time to buy more CLS doubles and do some modding again :) Ha, that would be nice.

Next time I'll post slightly modified SL from Matchbox :)

Mercedes CLS, SIKU series custom modified

Mercedes CLS made by SIKU, this is a project that I finished a few years ago, man how time flies:

Stock car above, modified cars bellow:

Little, tiny things :) I like the SIKU toys, they are not the cheapest in comparison to other small toys, but they have "something" in them. Two Mercedes CLS cars were completely modified, from painted interior (command buttons, wood trim, etc. etc.) This was a fun project :) I need to finish a few more of my projects in 1/32, 1/24 and 1/18 scale that have been sitting on my shelves (on pause) for a few years now.

Next time old photos of my Matchbox series CLS and SL modifications ;)

holidays Mercedes toys :)

Hi guys :)

Back from holidays, this year I visited the Canary Islands -> Tenerife.

Man, Tenerifes are great ! Always nice weather, no rain, only sun, sun and sun. And it is HOT, but the sea is so refreshing, mmmm I like it. Almost three weeks of sun and sea went by like crazy fast :(

Check the above photos to get a picture what i bought;
more than 30 Mercedes Toys and some Mercedes diecasts, I can not believe how I managed to pull it off and bring all the cars home undamaged; I even found some interesting Mercedes Radio-Controlled cars and Tinplate toys, great stuff: more detailed pictures are coming ;)

Mercedes Collection is constantly growing :)

I met Indiana Jones in Tenerife (Canary Islands)

Don't believe? Check the photos:

Hehe :)

Indiana Jones and "friends" from Hasbro manufacturer :D

I love this Indiana figure toys, they are all in the right scale for me, that is 1/18. Great for diorama photo shootings with diecast cars :).

I will show you soon what I bought in Tenerife; plenty of Mercedes Toys and Mercedes Diecasts for my Mercedes collection. China town plastics, diecasts, radio controlled and tin-plated toys... soon.

Take care folks!
